I'm finally back from the long battle called University. This has been a dream I wanted to realise since a very long time. When they predicted the end of the world in 2012, I was sad because I wouldn't have the opportunity of going to Uni, haha! This is not even a joke.
University was all they had told me it would be. You have the time of your life, but it's also a lot of work. Is it more difficult than High School? Well, it probably is, but I look at it from a different angle. In High School you have to get good grades in subjects that you don't really like or that you don't consider as interesting. At Uni there are also classes that aren't super interesting, but as it leads to your goal, you have more motivation to push. So the most important thing is to choose something that will make you happy in the future.
As I didn't have much time to blog, these are the Highlights of the Year!
September: University Time!
September 22nd - I was finally an official student at my Dream University ! The first week was loaded with emotions, I bought so many books and I thought that I was chasing rainbows, but guess what! I made it :)
Day 1 - All the New Students
October: My Birthday + Paris
In October was my Birthday and for this occasion, Mom and I went to Paris. This time we didn't spend the whole day in the heart of Paris, we spent the day walking around and visiting other places that aren't as popular as the Eiffel Tower, but still very beautiful!
If there's one thing I love about churches, it's probably the ceiling.
It is always so beautiful! This is in the Sacré-Cœur.
If you're planning a trip to Paris,
I encourage you to write it down on your list of things to see !
You won't regret it! Below you see the outside (No, I didn't take that picture).
November: Ed Sheeran
Every year I want to go to at least one concert, but last year it didn't turn out well. I bought tickets to see James Arthur, but he was ill so the concert has been put on another date and then I couldn't go. Last summer, I looked up who's coming to Belgium quite soon and the most interesting artist was Ed Sheeran. I loved his first album, but I wasn't tracking his every breath and plan. So I bought tickets, because I was simply in the mood to go to a concert. However, I'm really happy for this sudden decision, because he is such a talented person. On stage, all you see is a ginger man with his guitar - that's all. And that is the most fascinating thing, because the crowd was enjoying every second of it.
Christmas was different this year, because in Belgium in High School exams are before Christmas, but at Uni exams are in January. So unfortunately, I couldn't help Mom with preparing the dishes, what I absolutely love doing. I was stu-dying :( But then I decided not to do anything for 2 days, because Christmas and family are also very important. Here are some pictures of Brussels during this magical period called Christmas.

Btw. I do not know this guy haha #photobomb
This was a tough month, I had exams and I was super nervous, because I didn't know what to expect and I didn't want to fail after sparing no effort. But I passed all my exams and I'm really happy :)
February: Baking Time + Snow
In February we finally had some time off. Normally it is only a week, but as my exams ended quite early I had two weeks off. Yaaay! I used this time to do things that make me happy, what is among other things baking. Mother Nature also decided to give us one day of snow!
March: Meeting the President of Poland
What can I say more than the fact that I had the opportunity to meet the then President of Poland. It was for his presidential election campaign, so of course he was super friendly. I was a little nervous, even though I had met him before, but still - he was the head of my country.
When I think about Easter, I see a beautiful spring day. Sun, butterflies and shiny people. Unfortunately it was super cold this year. It was raining and windy. So we went to church and then we stayed at home all day long, because we didn't want to become ill, like we were after Christmas. I had two weeks off, but I basically spent them learning for my exams in June, otherwise I wouldn't have enough time.
May: London + 5 Seconds of Summer
What can I say, most of you have probably been in London, so there's not much I can tell you. I loved it too :) We tried to do the most possible in one day. We took the London taxi. I ate a British breakfast and it wasn't bad. I was actually really good! My Mom never thought I would eat the whole dish as I don't eat a lot in the morning. But I did! The weather was good, it didn't rain, we had fun and that's the most important thing!
I also went to see 5 Seconds of Summer live and it was a lot of fun ! I had front row tickets, so I was standing in front of Michael and that made me feel a little uncomfortable haha But I had a lot of fun ! They sing well live, they have fun on stage and we had fun listening to their music. What to want more?
June: One Direction + Exams
We're still June, but I'm not planning anything special this month anymore, so here come the highlights! June was tough for sure. June is the month of exams. Waking up at 8 am, studying until 10 pm and repeat this 3 weeks long. Yes, that was very painful! But the good news was that in the middle of this examination period I went to see One Direction! That was such a good decision. I mean - if you studied hard, you shouldn't regret going out one night. So that's what I did :)
What can I say? Harry has the funniest dance moves. Liam is very talkative and super friendly. Niall didn't talk much, but he posted many thankful tweets and pictures on Instagram, so I suppose he enjoyed it and Louis was super happy because they've sung "No Control" for the first time. They also sang 18 - one of my favourite songs of the album ♥︎
Taking pictures was such a challenge! There are so many moving hands, other fans taking pictures - it was really difficult.
I promise to write more often this summer!
